Travel Cribs: Do I Really Need It?

9th Jun 2011

The economy has not been very good lately, and more people are trying to save more than ever. Some people are trying to cut finances so much that even buying stuffs that would make life a little more convenient are crossed out.

A lot of parents are asking “Do I really need a travel crib?” If you already have a crib that you use every day for your child and you’re trying to save money, this question will cross your mind.

The answer to this is very simple, if you travel a lot then yes – you might as well buy a travel crib. There are several reasons why I say this:

Travel cribs are lighter than regular cribs – they were designed to be this way. If you’ve tried taking a regular crib out of the house, into the car then out again, you know how hard it is. Bringing the crib out once in a while is okay, but doing it once or twice every month is too much.

Since travel cribs were especially designed for travelling, most models don’t come with bolts and nuts that may get lost over time. This doesn’t only mean you can’t use the crib anymore, it may also be unsafe for your child if you don’t notice that they are missing right away.

A lot of people need a travel crib, and you can always sell yours if you don’t need it anymore. If you’ve taken good care of it and the crib is in excellent condition, you can easily sell it for 70% of the original price. You can always sell it through a garage sale or upload pictures on selling sites such as Ebay or Craigslist.

If you are going to buy the chicco lullaby lx, you have to read about play yards first.
