Some Things That Your Baby Doesn’t Need

Photo by boujiandnounaWhile you are out and about buying baby gear it is fun, but you are also an easy target for advertisers. All parents want their baby to own the best, safest, and the cutest. But babies do not require a whole lot of things, and there are many that need to be avoided. Fancy crib sets need to be avoided because they are not safe. Any professional will advise you to not use pillows, bumper pads, comforters, stuffed animals, or anything else that is soft in the baby’s crib. It is fun to decorate the nursery but do not add unneeded items to the crib.
While you are out clothes shopping for your baby, be sure that the clothes you buy are going to be comfortable. Price doesn’t matter. Any baby is more comfortable in loose fitting clothing without any elastics. Clothing should be made of cotton this is because it can breathe and it is soft not like any synthetic material that could be found.
In my opinion a changing table and a wipes warmer are wasted money. When changing any baby it is more convenient to use a blanket spread out on the floor. It is also safer for when the baby starts to roll. The wipe warmer can dry out the wipes and you need to change the baby where it is.
Physical therapists and paediatricians both do not recommend that you put your baby into a baby walker. You will feel that it is good for your baby but the use of a walker will stop the natural development of your baby and they are also connected to many injuries every year.
Another thing that is not needed for your baby is special baby laundry soap. It’s just the smell that is different from your other laundry soap. If you baby happens to have a reaction to laundry soap try using less or using only hot water.
