It’s Time To Think About The Christening Invitations

Using christening invitations is not a requirement for the celebration but it sure helps make sure everyone gets the right information and the same information at the same time. It also helps as a reminder for some and becomes a memento for others of an event that is a beautiful religious ceremony in the new life of the baby of honor.

The christening act itself is not new by any means and it is good to note that children have always had a special place in God’s heart. It may sometimes be referred to as the Services of Blessing – its based what Jesus did when children were brought to Him. He took the children in His arms, laid His hands on them, and blessed them as found in Mark 10:13-16.

There is specific scripture found in the bible under Acts chapter 16 that helps the believer understand just how important it is for the entire household to be saved and an ordinance of that includes getting baptized which can begin for infants with the Christening event. Its referred to by various names, baptism, christening but the act of committing your baby to Christ is the same for believers no matter where or when they where.

Back in the beginning days of Church, worship was done at homes and this kept it from being so easy to spot and imprison Christians the way the authorities would want to. Fellowship was much more intimate and personal back in those days and generally the whole church was present. Christening invitations are a way to invite important people in your life to your important event and share in the rekindling of the old atmosphere of intimacy and personal touch.

As time progressed the authorities stopped working as hard to persecute the Christian church and eventually people were able to gather openly and that led to church assemblies as we know them with priests handling christening all the time.

It is only natural for the Christening hosts to be grateful for the presence and support of all those in attendance – especially the officiating priest. Being able to notice Christenings publicly became more common place sometime between the 2nd and 3rd century A. D. The practice has become so common these days that most churches have Christening as part of their basic operating principles. Now sharing the wonderful celebration is made easy by sending Christening invitations to your friends, family and loved ones.

While these invites make it easier there are also more choices of what can be included ranging from making your invitations ones with a photo of your little bundle of joy imprinted on them or actually including a photo of baby that slides into the sleeve of a specialty invite to mark the introduction of an infant into your Church. Its simply a beautiful religious ceremony that allows many to be involved in on both a public and private level.

It is customary to have a little something following this event and using a reception card is a great way of letting your guests know the location and timing of the follow up festivities if they are not being held in the Church as is the general norm. Of course its just logical to want to know how many you need to prepare for and that is where a response card can be very helpful. There is the option of having a printed return address on the mailing envelope as well since its a time saving feature and makes sure you get back any invites that go astray.

If your heart yearns for color in everything – have no fear – lined outer envelopes with color options are here. Something more needed you say? Well just pick out the envelope seal that speaks to you as an elegant and creative touch to the whole thing. Of course this is only if your budget allows you to but it is nice to know there are so many options available. Don’t forget to check out the notes isle because adding an informal note makes it that much more meaningful to your guests. Its your personal message to just them.

But remember, whatever ensemble pieces you choose to use, the event is memorable because your baby is and the people you invite with these Christening invitations are already excited and committed to coming and celebrating this momentous occasion with you and your family. So any choice you make will be the right one as long as you allow yourself to be stress free and enjoy the occasion. Just make sure you put stamps on those invites and mail them or hand delivering them can also be an option for some depending on where your guests live.

but it sure helps make sure everyone gets not a requirement for the at the same time. that children had a place in
